Mommy Said...

Why do the words "MOMMY SAID" get an immediate reaction? Yesterday I asked the girls to pick up something. "Please pick up that blanket." No response. "Please pick up that blanket." No response. "Please pick up that blanket." No response. "Mommy said please pick up that blanket now." Immediately, the blanket gets folded and put away. I'm Mommy, right? Why isn't it good enough that I ask? Why does "Mommy said" get a better reaction?

I'm not sure, but my husband wonders why he gets a better response from our son when he starts with "Mama said..."
